Ni\u00f1o, Tublay. The training was a part of the Bio+mine\u2019s social interventions, aimed to build the capacity of the local community for sustainable economic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/bioplusmine.earth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1951\" width=\"635\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bioplusmine.earth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-1.png 529w, https:\/\/bioplusmine.earth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-1-300x173.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><figcaption><em>Dr. Jacquiline Yeung from the Provincial Veterinary Office shares information about swine diseases, prevention, and control.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The training was divided into two parts: a lecture session and a demonstration. The lecture covered two topics: swine feed formulation discussed by Ms. Felicitas Sukaw from the Provincial Veterinary Office; and swine diseases, prevention, and control discussed by Dr. Jacquiline Yeung, also from the Provincial Veterinary Office. They provided handouts containing vital information about the topics discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the lectures, Ms. Sukaw from the Provincial Veterinary Office and Mr. Romeo Casilla, owner of Mines Garden in Itogon, Benguet, facilitated a demonstration on using the shredder and making organic feeds using ingredients available in the community, such as copra, soya, soy sauce, molasses, salt, probiotics, and fermented plant juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirty one members of Binnadang Multi-livelihood Organization attended the training.
